Patricia Horoho

CEO, OptumServe | Lieutenant General (Ret.) U.S. Army

A retired Lieutenant General for the U.S. Army, Patty Horoho has experience at every level of leadership within Army Medicine. Horoho served as the 43rd U.S. Army Surgeon General and as Commanding General of the U.S. Army Medical Command, and was the first woman and first nurse to hold those appointments. She was also the 23rd Chief of the Army Nurse Corps. Horoho joined Optum in 2017 as CEO of OptumServe, the federal government health services business of Optum. She received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from UNC Chapel Hill and holds Master’s degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. Horoho is a member of the Army Women’s Foundation Hall of Fame.
