Vice President for Business Development, PenFed Credit Union
Matt Collier is the Vice President for Business Development at PenFed Credit Union, the nation’s second largest federal credit union. Previously, he served as Senior Advisory to the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs where among his many accomplishments was the development and launch of the VA Center for Strategic Partnerships with the purpose of developing sustainable partnerships to improve the lives of veterans and their families. Matt graduated from West Point and served six years as an Army infantry officer. He was chief of staff for U.S. Rep. Dale Kildee of Michigan and was then elected mayor of Flint, Mich., serving from 1987 to 1991. He is chairman of the board of One World, a nonprofit leadership and character development organization based in New York. He holds degrees from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, as well as from Harvard University.
