Head of Mid-South Agriculture, Lawrence Group
Mr. Hussey attended Cornell University from 1987 to 1991, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Business Management from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Richard started work in New York in 1991 with JP Morgan in the Global Technology and Operations Group. In 1994, he moved to Memphis where he was President of Circle H Farms, a family owned grain farm in Tunica, Mississippi that also managed other family investments. In 1999, he was hired by Southeastern Asset Management, a global equity manager, to be Chief Technology Officer with a mandate to build out the firms systems and infrastructure. In 2007, he became Chief Operating Officer a role in which he managed all aspects of the business except investments. In June of 2016, he began with the Lawrence Group as Head of the Mid-South Agriculture Group charged with overseeing the Group’s assets and operations.
