The 2017 Chicago Honors were held on Thursday, June 22nd at the University Club of Chicago. We honored former Chicago Bear, Northwestern University All-American, and NBC Chicago sportscaster Mike Adamle with the Courage Award for his fight to become a voice for hope among his peers after being diagnosed with dementia and probable #CTE. Mike’s wife, Kim, was also awarded with the first ever Caregiver Award. Rob Johnson of CBS Chicago hosted the event while awards were presented by Gary Fencik of the 1985 Super Bowl Champion Chicago Bears and Liz Nicholson of the Concussion Legacy Foundation Board of Directors.
