Patient Services Coordinator

Courtney Welch, ATC joined the Concussion Legacy Foundation in April 2023 as a Patient Services Coordinator. Courtney is a Certified Athletic Trainer and has previously worked in both the collegiate and clinical settings as an athletic trainer. She is excited to bring her experience with concussions, sports, and healthcare to assist with the CLF HelpLine and continuing medical education initiatives.

Courtney graduated from Piedmont College with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training and went on to further her education at Troy University where she received a master’s degree in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science. Throughout her academic career, she developed an interest in the complexity of concussions and focused much of her research on learning more about them.

Courtney has always had a passion for helping people which was her driving force in becoming an athletic trainer. She has walked with many athletes through the concussion process and has also been personally affected by concussions throughout her athletic career. She is looking forward to the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of those affected by concussions.
