Megan Ashworth

Program and Research Coordinator

Megan Ashworth originally joined the Concussion Legacy Foundation team in May 2022 as an intern for the Patient Services Department, after which she transitioned into a new role as CLF’s Program and Research Coordinator. Megan has always been engulfed in sports as an athlete, playing softball and soccer growing up. Also being an avid sports fan, she fears that many of the beloved athletes she watches in contact sports will potentially succumb to CTE one day. This, plus her many family members in the military, is why she is so passionate about being a part of the team at CLF and helping make a difference.

Megan graduated from the University of Tampa with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and a minor in Leadership Studies. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biology while conducting research, studying traumatic brain injuries in fruit flies. Her ultimate goal is to obtain her Ph.D. in Neuroscience. She currently resides in South Florida, and when she is not in the lab or working, she loves to spend her time reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
