Michael Burke

Director of Patient Programs

Michael Burke joined the Concussion Legacy Foundation in January 2017. Michael manages CLF’s patient services, including the CLF HelpLine, peer support programs, and continuing medical education initiatives. Prior to CLF, Michael graduated summa cum laude from Providence College with a degree in English and worked for the Independence Trail Education Foundation in Providence, RI.

Michael was personally affected by several concussions throughout his athletic career and watched close friends struggle to maintain healthy, balanced lives in the wake of devastating head injuries. A life-long athlete, Michael grew up playing football, swimming and diving, ice hockey, and baseball. He went on to play rugby for the Providence Friars and the Oxford University Rugby League Football Club in England.

Michael is motivated to improve recognition and care for concussions, PCS, and CTE so fewer people suffer the lasting burdens of head trauma.
