Michael Burke manages the Concusion Legacy Foundation's national concussion awareness program, Team Up Speak Up, and contributes to the CLF HelpLine. Michael joined the Concussion Legacy Foundation team in January 2017 as a Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Prior to CLF, Michael graduated from Providence College with a degree in English and trained in marketing as an intern for the Independence Trail Education Foundation in Providence, RI.
A life-long athlete, Michael grew up playing football, swimming and diving, ice hockey, and baseball. He went on to play rugby for the Friars and the Oxford University Rugby League Football Club during his year abroad in England.
Michael was personally affected by several concussions throughout his athletic career and watched close friends struggle to maintain healthy, balanced lives in the wake of devastating head injuries. Michael is motivated to improve recognition and care for concussions, PCS, and CTE so fewer people suffer the lasting burdens of head trauma.
