CTE Support & Resources
Crucial information about living with suspected CTE.
What is CTE?
Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) is a degenerative brain disease most often found in athletes, military veterans, and others with a history of repetitive brain trauma. Symptoms of CTE generally fall into three main categories:
- Cognitive symptoms, including problems with executive function, impaired judgment, dementia, and more.
- Mood and behaviour symptoms, including aggression, impulse control problems, depression, anxiety, and more.
- Sleep symptoms, including symptoms associated with REM behaviour disorder, sleep apnea, and more.
Many symptoms are treatable, and we have a library of CTE resources to help patients and caregivers battling suspected CTE live full lives.
