Team Up Against Concussions
Team Up Against Concussions is a free 50-minute interactive program for children and teens on brain health and sport. This program provides basic concussion education, focusing on symptoms, treatment, and the importance of speaking up and supporting others.
In addition to the program for children and teens, CLF Australia is also offering a 50-minute interactive session for teachers. This session focuses on brain health and concussion awareness, updates on the latest research, modifications for sport, and adaptive training programs. Both programs are presented by concussion and brain health expert, Professor Alan Pearce and CLF Australia Executive Director, Annitta Siliato.
The Team Up Against Concussions program will be launching in Sydney in late 2024/early 2025 and will expand to Melbourne.
Become a Concussion Legacy Captain
Concussion Legacy Captains was launched in 2022 to expand on our concussion awareness social media campaign, formally known as Team Up Speak Up. Our Team Up Speak Up speech has reached 7 million athletes across North America, representing 1,600 organizations to date and will now be offered in Australia.
The CLF Captains program asks athletes to commit to sharing our vision of concussion safety without compromise with their teams. Each season, captains will give the Team Up speech to their teams to set the tone that no athlete with a concussion should return to play before their brain is ready.
