Adrienne Crampton, PhD
Adrienne earned her PhD in Rehabilitation Science from McGill University in 2021, with a research focus on mild traumatic brain injury and concussion. She previously completed a Master’s degree in Sport Management at the University of Ottawa (2017) and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McGill University (2015).
During her time at McGill, Adrienne served as one of the captains of the Women’s Varsity Ice Hockey team. She was named to the Principal’s Student-Athlete Honour Roll and recognized as an Academic All-Canadian. Her leadership and academic excellence were further acknowledged through multiple Most Dedicated Player awards for the McGill Martlets and the prestigious Dorothy Nichol Scholarship, awarded for outstanding contributions to athletics and academic achievement.
Beyond the rink, Adrienne competed in two National Ball Hockey Canadian Championships and was named to the All-Star Team in 2013.
Adrienne is a certified Quebec Innovation Consultant, accredited by the Conseil de l’Innovation du Québec. She has experience in both non-profit and for-profit sectors, spanning fields such as kinesiology, human performance, neuroscience, and brain health. During her PhD, she developed a strong interest in innovation and entrepreneurship, with a focus on bridging the gap between research and industry. Adrienne is particularly passionate about leveraging her expertise and network to foster impact-driven innovation. As the former Director of NeuroSphere, McGill’s neuroscience-focused innovation accelerator, she has cultivated a specialization in supporting early-stage neurotechnology ventures and startups from inception through their early phases of growth and validation.
