Team Up Against Concussions
Team Up Against Concussions is a 30-45 minute interactive education program for schools, community groups, and athletic programs to foster a safer concussion culture within sports, the classroom, and life. Through Team Up Against Concussions, trained volunteers educate Canadian students about concussions through discussion, video, and interactive games. To date, more than 35,000 people have been educated via more than 600 presentations.
The Team Up Against Concussions program comprises 20+ Canadian University chapters, such as Western, McGill, University of Toronto, ULaval, Mount Royal and Dalhousie.
Become a Concussion Legacy Captain
Concussion Legacy Captains was launched in 2022 to expand on our concussion awareness social media campaign, formally known as Team Up Speak Up. Our Team Up Speak Up speech has reached 7 million athletes across North America, representing 1,600 organizations to date.
The CLF Captains program asks athletes to commit to sharing our vision of concussion safety without compromise with their teams. Each season, captains will give the Team Up speech to their teams to set the tone that no athlete with a concussion should return to play before their brain is ready. Captains can become Champions by completing a concussion education quiz and sharing their knowledge on social media, and fundraising to support CLF. Champions will receive a special t-shirt and recognition on our website.
