Scott Wert Concussion Legacy Foundation

Scott Wert joined the Concussion Legacy Foundation in December, 2021. Before joining CLF, Scott served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1999-2019. During his military career, Scott served in various leadership positions, and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan as part of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom respectively. Primarily a Telecommunications Officer, Scott started his service as a Machine Gunner and ended his career with additional specialties in Space Operations, Joint Operations, and Special Technical Operations. 

In addition to being stationed on Marine Corps and Naval installations on the east and west coast of the U.S., Scott also served at U.S. Strategic Command in Offutt AFB, Nebraska, and concluded his career with a tour at Headquarters, Marine Corps in the Pentagon. Upon retirement from active duty, Scott worked as a Sr. Project Manager at Gentex Corporation where he maintained oversight of projects in head-borne systems and Laser Eye Protection for DoD customers. 

Scott holds a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice Administration and B.A. degree in History from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania, and a M.A. in Administrative Leadership from the University of Oklahoma. His personal awards and ribbons include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, two Meritorious Service Medals, the Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy-Marine Corps Achieve Medal, and the Combat Action Ribbon. Scott currently resides in northeastern Pennsylvania with his wife Jenn and their four children.
