Jeffrey Cummings, MD
Jeffrey Cummings, MD, ScD(HC), is the Joy Chambers-Grundy Professor of Brain Science and Director of the Chambers-Grundy Center for Transformative Neuroscience at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. A neurologist globally recognized for his contributions to Alzheimer’s research, drug development, and clinical trials, he also leads the UNLV Clinical Trials Observatory, the only research program devoted to tracking all Alzheimer’s drugs in clinical trials, and the Biomarker Observatory, which catalogs advances in blood tests, brain imaging, and digital measures.
Dr. Cummings previously served as founding director of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas, as well as the Mary S. Easton Center for Alzheimer’s Disease Research and the Deane F. Johnson Center for Neurotherapeutics at UCLA. He has authored 43 books and more than 900 peer-reviewed publications on Alzheimer’s disease, neuropsychiatry, and clinical trials.
