Former NFL star Corwin Brown’s family opens up about his battle with suspected CTE

WATCH: Corwin Brown’s children detail the pain caused by his suspected CTE

Corwin Brown was a star at Michigan and in the NFL, known for big hits and a big heart. He moved straight from playing to coaching the game he loved, but his promising career on the sidelines was derailed by off-field bouts of impulsiveness, paranoia and violence.

« I want people to know how devastating it is to basically lose a parent and still have them there, » his daughter, Tayla, says in this CLF mini-doc. « I don’t recognize him anymore. »

The Brown family is opening up about Corwin’s battle not only in the hope of advancing research and treatment of CTE, but also in the hope of sparing other families the same experience.

Join the Brown family’s fight against CTE

As her father Corwin battles symptoms of suspected CTE, Jaedan Brown is joining the fight: “If they were able to stop the progression of CTE, that would be my prayer answered.”

The Brown family is turning hope into action by raising money to help accelerate CTE research, advance education and advocacy efforts related to CTE, and move another step closer to a world without CTE.

The Brown siblings say they don’t want any more families to experience CTE the way they have. Your donation today helps them drive toward that reality.
