Our team at the Concussion Legacy Foundation was proud to partner with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs on the second annual Brain Trust: Pathways to InnoVAtion May 17-18, 2017. #VABrainTrust is designed to foster debate, as well as facilitate national, partnership-based solutions in the general area of traumatic brain injury (#TBI) and head trauma. We announced at Brain Trust 2017 that former New York Giants lineman Leonard Marshall and former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck have pledged their brains to the Foundation for #CTE research. In addition, we received over two-dozen brain donation pledges from attendees of this event. Dr. Ann McKee of the VA-BU-CLF Brain Bank; our Co-Founders Dr. Christopher Nowinski and Dr. Robert Cantu, and Leonard Marshall delivered speeches and presentations on the importance of CTE and concussion research.
